High Purity Rubber Grade

Barite (BaSO₄) for Rubber Applications

Product Overview

Barite (Barium Sulfate, BaSO₄) for rubber is a high-performance industrial filler designed to enhance the physical and chemical properties of rubber products. With high purity and stable chemical structure, it is widely used in rubber compounding to improve strength, durability, and weather resistance.

Product Characteristics

  • Superfine particle size with narrow and uniform distribution
  • Clean material with low impurity content
  • High whiteness for improved product appearance
  • Excellent dispersibility in rubber compounds
  • Not easy to agglomerate during processing

Product Properties

Barite is a non-toxic, chemically stable white powder. It is:

  • Insoluble in water
  • Soluble in concentrated (fuming) sulfuric acid
  • Slightly soluble in boiling hydrochloric acid
  • Chemically stable under normal conditions

When heated with carbon at high temperatures, it can be reduced to barium sulfide.

In rubber applications, it enhances:

  • Mechanical strength
  • Weather resistance
  • Dimensional stability
  • Overall durability of rubber products

Applications

Barite (BaSO₄) for rubber is widely used in the following products:

  • Rubber sheets and mats
  • Automotive rubber components
  • Industrial seals and gaskets
  • Hoses and molded rubber products
  • General rubber compounding applications
